Mike Meiré (*1964) lives and works in Cologne with his wife and three children. In 1987, together with his brother Marc, he founded the agency Meiré und Meiré and in 2001 he founded the cultural initiative NEO NOTO. He routinely crosses the borders between various disciplines and in doing so shifts back and forth between his work as brand director, art director, designer and curator. Some of his most important editorial design projects include award-winning titles such as the German business magazine brand eins, the architecture magazine ARCH+, the new design of Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ), the international culture magazine 032c as well as GARAGE, Dasha Zhukova’s art und fashion magazine. As brand director at Dornbracht, manufacturer of fittings, he has been responsible for communication and cultural projects for the last 20 years. In addition, his signature style can be seen in the development and implementation of German kitchen manufacturer bulthaup’s concept »Shifting Contexts« as well as the corporate architecture of the automotive brand MINI/BMW Group. As designer and curator, Meiré mounts projects focussing on the cultural connections between brands and art, architecture, fashion, music and design.
