Andre Rösler (*1970) read visual communication at Pforzheim University. Starting in 1997, he has been working as a freelance illustrator, sketcher and designer. He illustrates various magazines and newspapers, including Musikexpress and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Since 2005, he has published numerous illustrated books, both nationally and internationally. He is responsible for animation art and special effects at the broadcasting station Bayerischer Rundfunk’s programme for children »Anschi und Karl-Heinz« (shown on BR-alpha). His works have been shown in Barcelona, Milan, Paris, Berlin and Dakar. Most recently, this award-winning artist has won the prize for best children’s book by the German province North Rhine-Westphalia. Andre Rösler lives in Karlsruhe, and he has been working at the University of Applied Sciences of Würzburg, Germany, as professor of drawing and illustration.
